THE 1947 SLIM DARK

In 1947 Blue Bell hired a Philadelphia tailor to fix the cowboy's jean. Rodeo Ben moved the back pockets up so they cleared the saddle, lengthened the belt loops for a trophy buckle, raised the rise so the jean stayed put in the seat, and set the rivets where they wouldn't scar leather. Every pair carried a tag with his name on it. That jean is still in production today. He never made another cent from it.

This is our jean, built on the principles he wrote down.

A high rise that sits at the natural waist and stays there — in the saddle, in a truck, on a barstool. Elevated back pockets, cut to clear. Belt loops sized for a real buckle, not a decoration. Five-pocket construction with a coin pocket that actually holds something.

The difference is the leg. Where Ben's original was cut full to clear a boot top in an era of work jeans, this one runs slim through the seat, thigh, and knee before tapering clean over the shaft. Same rise, same posture, modern line. Wear it under a gabardine coat or over a roper and it works either direction.

Woven on shuttle looms and cut in a longer inseam so it stacks the way it should once you've broken it in.
