The Continental Sport Coat - Navy

Gabardine was Rodeo Ben's material. It took color, held a pressed edge, and moved without wrinkling — which is why it dressed nearly every Western performer of the 1940s and '50s, and why the archive pieces still hold their shape eighty years on.
Navy is the version that goes anywhere. Half-canvas construction through the chest and lapel. Wide notch lapel, two-button front, clean roll. Pointed yoke seaming through the shoulder and chest, front and back — the Western structure is in the seams, not applied to the surface. Shaped Western pocket flaps with functional welts beneath.
Antiqued metal buttons, not horn. That's the one loud note in an otherwise quiet coat, and it's the right one — the flash Ben always put somewhere.
This is the coat that does the most work in a closet. Over an oxford and denim on a Tuesday. Over a snap shirt with a bolo and a trophy buckle on a Saturday. It reads correct in either room and apologizes in neither.
